About Us

I've had dogs in my family for over 60 years. When I was sixteen, Casey Jones, an Old English Sheepdog, the first dog I adopted for myself, came into my life just when I needed her most. She was my best friend for all of her fourteen years, and such an incredible dog, I became a fan of the breed for life.

Fast forward to California, 2013. While on a trip for a counseling conference, I spotted a dog on a restaurant patio that looked like a sheepdog, except it had a tail. The beautiful, friendly black and white dog turned out to be a sheepadoodle. Something inside me clicked. I was smitten. I felt the breed would make for wonderful therapy dogs. I began researching and looking for breeders near me, and subsequently connected with Sheryl of Sweet Sheepadoodles. She encouraged me to pursue my dream of breeding these incredible dogs, and Sheepadoodle Acres was born.

Our first litter arrived in 2016 to Smuckers and Finn and our adventure had begun.
